Partner, Jeff Meyerson walks you through the easy steps to doing your estate plan with Radix Law.
The purpose of estate planning is to address your wishes and needs in the event of your incapacity or death. When people think of estate planning, most people think it’s going to take a lot of time and a lot of effort. We’ve created a three-meeting process that can be utilized for a vast majority of the estate planning clients that we see here at Radix. First, we have a free initial consultation where we talk about a client’s family and financial dynamics in order to get a general sense of the type of planning that is appropriate. At the end of that meeting, I will likely be able to give a planning recommendation and a flat fee cost to move forward. Assuming the client decides to move ahead with the planning, step two is to go through draft documents that we draft based on the information gathered in the initial consultation and to make sure that there aren’t any changes or misunderstandings about the client’s objectives. If there are changes, we would make those changes after the review meeting and then schedule a signing so the estate planning documents are effective.
