Carolyn (Carrie) R. Tatkin is a partner at Radix Law, with a practice focused on consumer and business bankruptcy, representing both creditors and debtors.  With her extensive experience in this area of law, Carrie is adept at handling all aspects of her clients’ bankruptcy matters.  She enjoys working closely with her clients, and particularly values the trust that they place in her.  Within the bankruptcy arena, Carrie’s experience includes trial and appellate work, including oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In her more than thirty years of practice, she has also worked in the fields of insurance bad faith litigation, construction defect litigation as well as general business and commercial law.

Carrie joined the Firm in early 2009, shortly after it was founded.  She enjoys professional development and mentoring the firm’s associates. As a leader both in the firm and the community, Carrie takes pride in her ability to share her knowledge of bankruptcy law with others.  She has presented numerous seminars covering many bankruptcy topics. She also assists some clients on a reduced fee and pro bono basis through the State Bar Association’s lawyer referral services and the Maricopa County Bar’s Volunteer Lawyer’s Program. In addition, Carrie is a member of our state and county bar associations and has affiliations with a number of bankruptcy law associations, including the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Arizona Consumer Bankruptcy Counsel, the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. She was also one of the founding members of the Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, which promotes excellence in legal advocacy and encourages civility within the profession.

A native of Ohio and a proud Buckeye, Carrie received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Ohio State University and a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She is married to David Tatkin, a fellow attorney.  They have two grown children.  Carrie is a horse enthusiast and devotes most of her free time to her horse.
