As senior counsel at Radix Law, Ajitav Mick Misra’s practice is focused on business law, tax law, commercial litigation, and estate planning. Mick has advised clients on the formation, purchase, sale and financing of business and their entities, resulting in the successful closing of dozens of business transactions. He has also advised clients on all of their business contracts, providing a comprehensive approach to client service that focuses on the business needs and goals of his clients. Clients have relied on Mick for his securities law knowledge as well, engaging him to advise them on multi-million dollar capital raises.
In addition to providing corporate law advice to clients, Mick has spent 13 years providing tax structuring and litigation for businesses and individuals. In that capacity, he has advised clients on the tax structuring of mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, securities, international transactions, and tax credit investments.
Before joining Radix Law, Mick has worked at big law firms where he advised the most sophisticated businesses in the country on their tax law and corporate law issues. Most recently, Mick was the general counsel of a global hedge fund that focused on investing in renewable energy assets. In that capacity, he closed $350 million in mergers and acquisitions as well as $650 million in tax equity and project financing for renewable energy projects.
Combined with his legal acumen, Mick’s practical experience in the business world gives him a unique advantage in advising his clients, given his first-hand knowledge of the business aspect of these deals.
Mick graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, with a concentration in Economics. After college, he earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and then a MBA from UCLA. While in school, he was awarded several academic distinctions. Although he has lived all over the country, Mick recently relocated to Arizona to be close to family and reconnect with his Arizonan roots. He considers the Valley of the Sun home. In his free time, Mick enjoys biking, traveling and attending comedy shows.
